Sil-Fusion

Sil-Fusion is a dual component silicone specifically formulated for the fabrication of reusable vacuum bags. Sil-Fusion’s high tech chemistry allows for 200+ manufacturing cycles and does not require the use of any reinforcement materials. Sil-Fusions high tear strength; high cut resistance and high temperature resistance make these bags very durable. Sil-Fusions very translucent color, no odor and repairability aid in the rapid manufacture of the vacuum bag. There are 4 methods of applying Sil-Fusion, 2 methods of brush on and 1 method of spray on. Sil-Fusion can be used with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resin. Sil-Fusion can be used to manufacture parts using pre-preg, resin infusion or wet lamination method of manufacture. Bladders and intensifiers can also be made from Sil-Fusion.

Sil-Fusion has been designed to compliment the use the V–Fusion Seals (patent pending) for sealing new or existing molds with at least a 2” wide flange. The flange does not have to be in the same plane for Sil-Fusion and the V-Fusion Seals to function.

Sil-Fusion cures in 15 minutes or less. Faster cure times can be had by custom order only.
